College Day

It was a sea of blue, unlike anything I have seen before. We were all thankful for the thoughtful gifts of UNC shirts as we blended into the crowd. No one really knew what to expect (with the exception of marshal who is a a UNC pro).
The excitement began on 40E as we passed cars with UNC flags. “Look they are going too!” was said about every 5 min. as someone else spotted the schools colors. Once we arrived, we parked at my brother’s house and walked to campus. We passed groups of college students dressed for game day!
As we walked to the stadium we passed a poster about the performing arts on campus. And once of our freshman MADE SURE that I saw it. And started thinking aloud about the possibilities of being a social worker and a dancer when she went “grew up”.
The day was filled with much needed laughter and silliness. College Day was a success and the flame of hope grew in the hearts of these young people.

*** A special thanks to everyone that made yesterday possible!***
