Unspoken Rules for India
5min or “soon” means 30min, 1 hr, or sometime today
Lines on the road are mere suggestions if you try to follow usa traffic rules you will most certainly get yourself run over
When you ask a local a question and they shake their head “no” a few times it means “YES”
When you are told that a dish is only a “little spicy” make sure that you have a full bottle of water near by. (By the way to everyone that thinks my taste buds are dead :) b/c I love spicy food they are very much alive here in India!)
When you are asked if you would like coffee or Chi it is not a question, you are being informed it is coming.
It is best to not turn on the light at night if you are afraid of lizards
If you feel something on your back at night do not touch it jump up and “IT” will scurry away.
When you are asked to “preach” this is no time to be nervous or question but to PRAY b/c really you are being asked to preach in “5min”
It is better to “preach” to locals that do not know English :) b/c the interpreter takes up ½ the time.
If you are praying for a woman wait for her to cover her head
Propel single packets make water taste much better!
Carry TP with you at all times
Waiting is a way of life here. Do not rush or become anxious waiting is great time to BREATH and be still
When going to Villages at night for services sleep on the way there and back, b/c you never know when you will see your bed.
When you are at a Village be prepared to eat a 2nd dinner at 11:30pm. And be prepared to see large boiled snails on your plate!
Only drink milk that is boiling hot when given to you.
(oh :( I tred to load a phot but it wouldn't...oh well at least this site works.:)

Awesome! I love the lizard part. So glad you are finally there! How is little Susanna??
the "preach in 5 minutes" experiences are quite amazing; you have no time to start relying on yourself (unless you run away!); trust in the Lord with all your heart. i would love to try the spicy food!
